Today was very hot (mid to upper 80's). So, we decided to give Eve a popsicle after dinner. Because of the inevitable mess, we stripped her down and gave it to her in the tub. She loved it, but you'd never know it from her face!
The purpose of this blog is to keep everyone updated on our family and the management of Eve's mitochondrial disease.

pictures of the new wheelchair
Here are some pictures of Eve's new wheelchair. We're getting used to it. It's very heavy and not convenient for transporting in my vehicle. We've since ordered a medical stroller. The wheelchair can be used for school primarily, and we can use the stroller for around town. Eve picked the color of the frame on this chair. Pretty slick.
This is a "tilt in space" wheelchair. It tilts back for those that spend lots of time in wheelchairs so they can ease pressure on their bottoms. It has a pedal in the back that allows it to tilt back (very easily). Eve isn't a fan of the tilt as you can see. She doesn't feel secure. But, we tilt it just a little (not as dramatically as this) when we use that feature.
