My birthday was last month. The usual cast of characters was there (including Grammie and PaPa and Josie in a birthday hat), but here's a shot of Eve and I.  Thanks to Jim's parents, Jim and I were able to go out to dinner together for the first time in about 9 months.  It was wonderful.  Maybe not for my in-laws - but it was wonderful for us.

Seamus had his 9 month well visit at the pediatrician's yesterday.  He is 29 1/4 inches tall (80th percentile), 19 lbs 9 oz (50th) and has a noggin in the 50th percentile.  So, average sized and a little long.  He still doesn't have teeth, but the doctor says that's fine.   He's doing great.   He continues to be a happy baby, but has turned into a little tornado.  It's unbelievable.  He is making up for all the things that Eve never did.  He crawls so fast and is magnetically drawn to anything he shouldn't have (e.g., dog bones, dog dishes, pieces of lint or fuzz, the woodstove, etc.).  He also shoves everything in his mouth.  It's exhausting chasing after him.  He is incredibly active.

The most common view of Seamus these days
